This recently tax and MOT exempt, 1983 Kawasaki KZ550 LTD, has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours.
As you can see this bike has a few parts missing – ignition barrel and key being the most obvious. We also noted; there are a few dents at the top of the tank, the paintwork is peeling and the tailight lens is broken.
The wheels are straight with nice clean alloy and working brakes.
The forks and yokes look straight and gators are intact.
The tail light assy is good as are the headlight and bowl.
Instruments look ok and switches love freely.
The carburettors are free sliding off the twist grip.
The fuel tank looks useably clean inside.
The indicators are tidy.
Both mud guards are straight and bright.
The standard exhaust is solid.
The engine is cosmetically clean. We have had it firing/running & revving on easystart spray but the fuel system & carbs will need attention.
